Role of the national parliament in the EU – the case of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, 2008
Description
The research on the positions of deputies on the functioning of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia provides an insight into the positions of deputies regarding some of the fundamental elements of parliamentarism in modern liberal democracies. In this way, the perception of the representation of interests, which is one of the fundamental components of the parliamentary mandate, is observed in more detail, as well as the entire structure of the functioning of the parliament with the functioning of the working bodies at the head. The aim of the research is to discover how deputies assess the functioning and see the role of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia in the conditions of full membership of the EU, as well as their perceptions and expectations regarding the possibility of influencing decision-making and policy-making at the EU level.
