Floodplains Ordinance areas Lower Saxony
Description
By regulation, flood areas are to be defined as areas in which a flood event is statistically to be expected once every 100 years (design flooding) (according to NWG, §115, paragraph 2). In addition, there are numerous historical floodplain regulations, some of which are based on observed flood events (see factual data, TECH_BASIS).
