Description
This resource provides an unclear indication of the distribution of orange rooster (Rupicola rupicola) in French Guiana. A polygon attests to the presence of the species in an area. This may include nesting sites, breeding sites or point observations of individuals.
The Rooster is an emblematic species of French Guiana and fragile due to its discontinuous distribution on the territory. It is located on forest massifs where many stakes are superimposed. This resource has been developed to allow any project promoter to take into account the species as upstream as possible in the construction of projects on the department (roads, hiking trails, mines, logging, etc...). To obtain more precise information on the exact location of the species, the project leader is invited to get closer to the GEPOG.
