Administrative boundaries (Municipality, Province, State and Water Authority)
Description
The Administrative Boundaries dataset is an additional set compared to the dataset offered by the BRK. The responsibility for the Administrative boundaries dataset and associated API lies with Informatiehuis Ruimte. The target group of the Administrative boundaries dataset includes all users who need the administrative boundaries of municipalities, provinces and national borders established by the Land Registry. In addition to these boundaries, the boundaries of water boards have also been added, these boundaries have been supplied by Het Waterschapshuis. In addition to the national border established by the Land Registry, this API also provides access to two national borders supplied by the Ministry of the Interior for use within the DSO. The dataset also includes the OINs of the competent authorities, the ownership of the OINs lies with Logius and in the API only the OINs of the competent authorities included in the dataset are returned.
With regard to the dataset included in this dataset with the management boundaries of the 21 water boards in the Netherlands, the following applies: “This is the as-is situation as at 01-04-2019. This set is intended for use in the Digital Environment System Act (DSO). The set is not yet in conformity with INSPIRE specifications. Substantive harmonisation (topological correctness) by the water boards still needs to be done. Each water board is the source holder of its own management boundary.
