Soil overview maps Hessen 1:500.000 and 1:50.000 as well as soil area data 1:5.000.:Soil function assessment for spatial and land planning according to land area data Hessen 1:5000 for agricultural land (BFD5L) – The method "Soil function: Overall assessment for spatial and land-use planning“considers on the aggregation of the methods”Soil function: Habitat for plants, criterion Site typing for biotope development“,”Soil function: Habitat for plants, criterion yield potential“,”Soil function: Function of soil in water balance, criterion FK“and”ground function: The function of the soil as a dismantling, balancing and building medium, criterion nitrate retention" and assigns the resulting different stages the classes of the total ground function performance from 1 to 5. An exception is the various exclusion and fault areas for which no soil function assessment can be determined. These are summarised in class “0” (not evaluated).
