Environmental vision - Wind energy promising locations for additional development
Description
These locations should be seen as longer-term locations. The development of these sites is being carried out in close consultation with the municipalities concerned. These locations may be important for the longer-term objective of energy neutrality. In order to achieve this goal, additional efforts on wind energy will probably be needed. Adopted by Provincial Council on 25-02-2015.
The map layers of wind energy from the environmental vision are a technical approach with which possibilities and limitations for wind energy have been mapped. After going through a participatory process and administrative coordination, search areas for wind energy have been included in the first version of the Regional Energy Strategies (RES1.0, 2021).
The information about wind in the environmental vision has now been overtaken by the RES.
