Job grid

Data on the number of jobs (person-years) and establishments in the Helsinki region. It also includes information on the largest sectors and staff numbers. The data are calculated from HSY’s company and establishment data in 250 m * 250 m boxes. For data protection reasons, data on individual companies/places of business have been removed from the data, as well as -1 boxes with a staff of 3 or less.
The locationless sites are located in the workplace grid, classified in the sea by municipality.
N.B.: The material only includes jobs in enterprises and non-profit institutions, not public sector jobs or establishments.

The data is updated retrospectively with a delay of two years, so more up-to-date information cannot be provided.
The original source of HSY’s enterprise and establishment data is Statistics Finland’s Business Register.
