Inventory of quarries, gravel pits and mines in Andalusia
Description
Second inventory of mining operations carried out in 1999 by the Ministry of the Environment, updating the first inventory carried out by this Ministry in 1994. It includes active and inactive mining operations that ceased activity between 1992 and 1999 in Andalusia. It contains cartography, a descriptive memory, as well as a database and geographical layers with the delimitation of the holdings and the identification of digitized facilities on the topographic map 1:10,000. New farms have been added and existing ones updated through on-the-spot visits and surveys. Although it includes administrative farm data, the information collected focuses on physical-environmental aspects identified during the fieldwork phase. It does not constitute, therefore, any type of assessment or evaluation of environmental impact derived from the application of environmental prevention procedures regulated in current legislation.
