Waste prevention and recycling ash, slags and dusts in Austria
Description
The project “Development of a waste prevention and recycling strategy for the Federal Waste Management Plan 2006” identified a lack of information on waste prevention and recycling options for waste streams “ashes, slags, dusts”. The requirement of the Landfill Ordinance for the pre-treatment of carbon-rich waste prior to landfilling (e.g. shredder light fraction) as well as the commissioning of new waste incineration plants and the significantly increased amount of residues from waste incineration plants are also a topical reason for this study.
