RFID Reader System

Description

The RFID reader system is part of the rolling stock monitoring equipment. The efficient use of control equipment data requires that rolling stock must be able to be equipped with a remotely readable RFID tag in accordance with ISO/IEC18000-63. The RFID tag of rolling stock shall be read at heights between 500 mm and 100 mm above the rail. The RFID reader system shall indicate the name, system, model, manufacturer, date of commissioning, location and state of operation of the central unit (in use, not in use, not known) as well as location name, track track identifier, track mileage location and track number related to location. The material covers railways owned by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The data source system is a track site management application (RATKO) in the track infrastructure management system. The material is updated once a week.
