Locations of airports in South Holland.
The province is the competent authority for regional civil airports. These are the airports for helicopters and motorized (sports) aircraft, with the exception of Rotterdam The Hague Airport.
The province issues permits and can grant exemptions if necessary if a take-off or landing is required outside an airport, for example by helicopters. The province offers space for various forms of small and recreational aviation. At the same time, the province attaches importance to a good integration in the immediate vicinity. Therefore, new locations for commercial and commercial aviation are treated with restraint. The province is not about the airports where only balloons and screen gliders take off.
The Milieudienst Rijnmond DCMR carries out the licensing and exemption tasks in the field of aviation for the province.
