Historical map of Zurich (1852)
Description
The dataset contains 2 of a total of 33 map sheets of the game map of the canton of Zurich from the years 1842-1852 on a scale of 1:25,000. These are the leaves "Dietikon" and "Birmensdorf". The wild card is aesthetically closest to the Michaelis card. The height indications are indicated with contour lines and the map is four-coloured. Already in the years 1809/10 a triangulation was started in the canton of Zurich. However, due to lack of finances, this work had to be stopped. During his surveys Johannes Wild had to find out that the survey markings at that time had been removed, so that one had to start completely new.
