3D-models of the loose rock in Lower Saxony – Great kneading
Description
Based on the data from the drilling database Lower Saxony, the hydrogeological 3D model large kneading was created at the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) and using all other input data available, such as geophysical data and existing 3D models, e.g. from water suppliers. In total, the model depicts the subsurface in 28 geological units until the Oligocene. The layer sequence includes tertiary units, the deposits of the Elster, Saale and Vistula cold periods to the most recent deposits of the Holocene as well as deposits of the Eem warm-time.
