FVA Foliage Needle Forest Map
Description
The foliage/needle forest map classifies the forest in coniferous, mixed and deciduous forests. Knowledge of tree species or forest types is, for example, important for the selection of new forest protected areas. Especially in times of climate change, a great dynamism takes place here.
The FVA Foliage Needle Forest Map was created from Sentinel-2 satellite data from 2016 and 2017.
