Description
Digital vectorial dataset of the analog Soil Map of Belgium for the territory of Flanders. All map elements of the analog maps (published on map scale 1: 20 000) have been carefully digitised manually and coded according to the classification system used: morphogenetic for inland Flanders (substrate, texture, drainage, profile development, phase and variant) and geomorphological for the Coastal Region (substrate, series, subseries, type, subtype and variant). The digital version of the soil map has been checked almost systematically compared to the analogue soil maps.
