Description
The Sites of Community Importance (SCI) are proposed by the different competent administrations, subsequently they must be designated as Special Areas of Conservation (SAC), these together with the Special Protection Areas for Birds (SPAs) make up the Natura 2000 Network. The first statements began in April 1997.
The information presented corresponds to the update of 13 December 2018, according to information from Natura 2000 sites sent by MITECO to the European Commission until that date. SCI data become official only when the European Commission approves the respective biogeographical lists of SCIs.
