Social areas Hamburg

Description

At this point, the data sets of the district offices for the social areas are described. The districts are administratively divided into districts, which in the course of integrated social planning (usually*) are divided into smaller, clearer units – so-called social areas. The social areas are made up of the statistical areas and are defined in the districts themselves. The aim is to be able to capture the different living conditions, habitats, living environments of the people and the surrounding infrastructure in a more differentiated way in order to enable the social planners in the districts to plan specifically in these special regions. *Note: The district office HH-Nord works on a regular socio-spatial basis at the district level and draws up smaller area sections on an ad hoc or needs-based basis.
