Erosion hazard maps Free State of Saxony

Description

In recent years, new data bases have been developed that required an up-to-date assessment of the risk of erosion. Compared to the existing erosion hazard maps, more spatially differentiated and updated erosion hazard maps are now available. The following data bases were incorporated into the present set of maps. They shall be taken into account when using and interpreting the erosion hazard maps: Ground map in scale 1 : 50.000 (BK50), Source: Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology (LfULG) 2020; Digital terrain model in 5 m grid (DGM5), generalized from DGM2, source: Geobasic information and survey Saxony (GeoSN) 2012; Precipitation series from 2001 to 2017, source: German Weather Service (DWD) 2019
