Alternative indicator in 2012 of Women's participation in political and economic life (IPF-a) (French regions)
Description
The Alternative Indicator for the Participation of Women in Political and Economic Life (IPF-a), defined by Jean Gadrey in 2006, is a synthetic indicator very similar to that of the UNDP.
This IPF-a is the average of three indicators between 0 and 1, namely:
for political parity, the percentage of women in Parliament divided by 50;
\- for parity in access to the two occupational groups 1 and 2 defined by the UNDP, the indicator is the sum of the percentage of women in group 1 and their percentage in group 2;
\- for parity in access to labour income, it will be the ratio of income per woman to income per man, according to UNDP definitions.
The closer the IPF-a is to 1, the more parity is met according to the three criteria used in the summary indicator.
