Description
The spatial data “water balance” characterises the location in terms of the amount of soil water available to plants. This is mainly due to the total precipitation in the growing season, the storage capacities and drainage properties of the soils, the groundwater connection, the relief situation and, last but not least, the evaporation claim of the tree. Other influencing factors such as reservoir water, groundwater, flooding or moor sites do not enter into the determination of the water balance level shown here.
