Description
A stop point describes a place at a switching point where the means of transport can stop. A stop point can only belong to one exchange point and one type of means of transport. However, the physical location of a stop point may overlap with other stop points. Only exchange points with stop points can serve the means of transport.
The purpose of the data product stoppoints is to indicate situations where there is a connection to other traffic networks or modes of transport. A stoppoint is always connected to an object in the data product bytes. The Finnish Transport Administration’s data product stop point indicates stop points for road and rail.
