New-Aquitaine: Natura 2000 — Natural habitats of N2000 sites — Zonages (surface)
Description
This dataset contains the natural habitat zonings identified in the Natura 2000 network target document in the New Aquitaine region.
The objective document of a Natura 2000 site contains the biological inventory and description of natural habitats, in particular those of Community interest. All habitats present on the site, whether of Community interest or not, are identified and mapped. Habitat identification is based primarily on the classical phytosociological approach (classification of the Prodrome des Végétations de France and the typological benchmarks of habitats produced by the South-Atlantic CBN).
NOTE: this geographic layer is being compiled and validated, the GIS data is not exhaustive, for more information see the maps contained in the DOCOBs.
