Statistical grid of Estonia (1x1 km)
Description
The statistical grid is designed to provide location-based data by spatially homogeneous surface units. Each square is characterized by a unique identifier that reflects the side length of the square and the plane cross-coordinates of the lower left corner of the square. The statistical grid coincides with the grid of the Estonian main map. The grid was generated using Eurostat’s grid generation tool for ArcGIS (http://www.efgs.info/data/eurogrid/eurostat-grid-generation-tool-for-arcgis/view).
The grid is available both as L-EST97 grid coordinates and as spatial shapes for the ETRS89-LAEA coordinate system.
