Description
The isopachian map of the quaternary deposits is part of the Quaternary Map of Flanders. Isopaches are lines of equal thickness of the quaternary deposits. The thickness lines form an overlay of the litho profile type chart. The systematic mapping of the Quaternary geological layer on a scale of 1:50000 in Flanders, commissioned by the Flemish Region, was started in 1993. At the beginning of 1999, about half were carded.
