G3Dv2_0404_KR_NeWa_Va, base Fm Nevele, Ld Wachtebeke Fm Vaals
Description
This layer gives the height of the base (mTAW) of the Formation of Vaals, in the east of VLaanderen, and the Member of Wachtebeke, in the west of Flanders, of the Geological 3D model of Flanders. This interface is the combination of the bases of the laterally separated lithostratigraphic units. Such an interface is presented as a single plane and not as a surface made up of subplanes. This layer is the result of largely the result of a proportional approach to represent the classifications within the chalk deposits in a geologically realistic way. The Geological 3D model was drawn up in the framework of the management agreement of the Flemish government with VITO, under the name VLAKO, on behalf of the department LNE - Department of Land and Soil Protection, Subsurface, Natural Resources.
