Floor map Möriken - Wildegg from paper map 1992. In June 1991, the Nitrates Commission gave the order to carry out a soil mapping of agricultural areas in the extended catchment area of the spring and groundwater catchments. Mapping and the associated soil investigations are the basis for achieving a reduction in nitrogen input from agricultural soils into groundwater. In addition, the soil is to be assessed for the risk of seepage and runoff losses of plant nutrients (risk map). Field work for soil mapping was carried out in autumn 1991 and the results were presented on a scale of 1:5,000 on the soil and load-bearing capacity map.
