Collective composers - by type of site and type of access

Description

### Background The European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) and some of its municipalities have installed so-called ‘collective’ composters in green spaces or shared gardens. This equipment allows residents of the same neighbourhood to collectively produce compost. The compost thus produced is shared between contributors to fertilise the garden soil and the indoor plants in their homes. Since 2019, the MEL has installed and supports more than 130 shared composting sites in the territory. They are managed locally by voluntary referents, whether they are local residents, members of an association, members of the co-ownership trustee or employees of a neighbourhood house. These composters are run by a ‘composting referent’. This dataset presents the precise GPS locations of the collective composters, with: * the name of the site, * type of site (shared garden, worker, etc.) * the terms of access to the equipment, * the address of the pedestrian access closest to the composting site, * the description of the composter, * the contact email of the composting referent of the site. ### Method This dataset is manually incremented each time a new composting site is launched. Please note: the geolocation of the composter indicates the exact location of the equipment, while the text address indicates the pedestrian access closest to the site (entrance to a park for example, sometimes far from the equipment). Photos of the composters will soon be added.
