Stones of Remembrance - Overview Map and Database
Description
The aim of the Stones of Remembrance Association is to commemorate the Jewish victims of the Holocaust and to keep the memory of Jewish life and culture in Vienna alive before the National Socialists seized power. This commemoration is anchored by the setting of ‘stones of remembrance’, brass plates embedded in the sidewalk.
The interactive city map provides an overview of all memorial stones of the association in Vienna, as well as the possibility to retrieve all data of the immortalized people and places and to search for individual data. Your own environment can be explored and the people who once lived here are getting closer.
At many addresses, the audio-visual guide [dort.pw](http://dort.pw/) offers the opportunity to hear the individual stories of relatives and initiators.
