Radon potential map of the Republic of Austria

The Austrian Radon Potential Map was compiled on the basis of 20,000 radon measurements in residential buildings and provides information on where to expect increased radon concentrations in buildings in Austria. The radon potential class is searched at the municipal level (municipal potential). There is an increased radon potential in about 500 municipalities. Depending on the radon potential, recommendations should be considered for existing buildings as well as for new buildings and general renovations.
