Description
Track markings are used to convey information to railway traffic and track maintenance, and to provide information also to people moving in the vicinity of the track. Track markers indicate the marker register identifier, place, direction of reading, side, serial number, type of marker, text, mounting height, distance and structure, mounting method, fastener, swivelling (yes, no, unknown), stopper, date of installation, year of manufacture, foundation, manufacturer, owner and additional information. The data cover railways owned by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The data source system is the Track Object Management Application (RATKO) of the Track Infrastructure Information Management System.
