Ground map of Lower Saxony 1 : 50 000 - Effective root space usable field capacity
Description
The usable field capacity (nFK) indicates the ability of a soil to store a certain amount of water in mm in plant-available form. The ‘Usable field capacity of the effective root space’ indicates this value in relation to the effective root space (We). The nFKWe is thus a characteristic value for assessing the quality of the site from the point of view of the soil water balance and an important starting date for many further considerations. The map shows the classified values for the nFKWe evaluated on the basis of the ground map of Lower Saxony 1:50,000.
