Change in average lowest groundwater level 2050 Twente water network
Description
This map shows the change in the average lowest groundwater level in 2050. The KNMI WH 2050 scenario is used for this. In this scenario, the temperature rises sharply. Due to the strong temperature increase, more evaporation is expected to take place. This has implications for groundwater levels. The layer represents the percentage change in the groundwater level in 2050 compared to the current situation. The extent of the decrease varies per location. In red areas there is a decrease in the average lowest groundwater level while in blue areas there is an increase in the average lowest groundwater level.
