Air quality database of the state of Brandenburg
Description
The time series of various air pollutants, continuously determined in the state of Brandenburg, will be
entered, archived and updated. Air quality monitoring in Brandenburg is carried out by:
an automatic air quality network according to EU-wide specifications.
The current measurement values of the pollutants ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), fine dust
Particulate matter (PM10), sulphur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and more published in the Land Umwelt/Consumer Information System Brandenburg (LUIS-BB). These results are supplemented by a compilation of valid limit values as well as monthly and annual evaluations.
The State Office for the Environment (LfU) operates for continuous air monitoring the automatic air quality network with currently 17 air monitoring stations in cities and rural regions and 5 air monitoring stations in the transport area.
In addition, there are measuring points for the determination of ingredients in the dust precipitation/in the
Deposition. More than 100 measuring instruments deliver up to 12,000 readings per day, which are automatically transmitted to the measuring network center of the LfU, controlled and published from here.
