Noise pollution national roads in the Netherlands 2006 (night average)
Description
Display by means of noise contours of the noise load Lnight (night average) in 2006 of the roads that were under management at Rijkswaterstaat on 31-12-2006. Displays only the current situation in 2006 without future projections calculated with the VenW Road Noise Model Silence 3. These noise contours have been drawn up as part of the EU Environmental Noise Directive project. On 26 June 2007, the noise contours were established by the Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. Legally, these noise maps must be developed once every five years.
