Description
The INSPIRE dataset ground was created on the basis of the digital ground map 1:50,000. This represents the ground-based map work for the Free State of Saxony. The INSPIRE dataset Soil contains carting/legal units representing representative conductive soil forms (a combination of soil type and substrate type) in their spatial distribution. In addition, this information contains the usable field capacity in the potential root space. Each mapping/laying unit is stored with a guide profile containing information on the individual soil layers/horizons. These include: Upper and lower boundary of layer/horizontal, horizon designation and type of soil. The soil species have been laboratoryly validated.
