Vegetation Index (NDVI) of Andalusia. Seasonal anomalies, 1993-2009 (NOAA AVHRR)
Description
Seasonal NDVI anomaly calculated from NOAA satellite images captured by the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sensor. The AVHRR sensor collects information in 5 spectral bands: visible, near-infrared and 3 in thermal infrared, all with a resolution of 1000 m. The 2009 NDVI seasonal anomaly is calculated from the difference between the 2009 seasonal averages and the historical seasonal averages 93-09, grouping December 2008, January and February 2009 in winter; March, April and May 2009 in spring; June, July and August 2009 in summer; September, October and November 2009 in autumn.
