Description
Description of the defined water protection areas in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme). The quality of drinking water depends directly on the quality of groundwater. In order to protect the water produced in the wells (groundwater protection) of the waterworks, the associated catchment area is designated as a water conservation area. The extent of these water protection areas or water protection zones I to III are mainly determined by the amount of water abstraction, the structure and properties of the subsoil. GDI-NI
