Environmental vision - Wind energy not promising
Description
For nature reserves (Gelders Natuurnetwerk and the Green Development Zone, see map), the province sees major obstacles to the installation of wind turbines. The file is composed of the following map layers: 1. Gelders nature network 2. New Dutch Waterline minus Open Schootsvelden 3. Natura2000. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial Council on 19 December 2018.
The map layers of wind energy from the environmental vision are a technical approach with which possibilities and limitations for wind energy have been mapped. After going through a participatory process and administrative coordination, search areas for wind energy have been included in the first version of the Regional Energy Strategies (RES1.0, 2021).
The information about wind in the environmental vision has now been overtaken by the RES.
