Protected Areas_INS – Natural Monuments – OGC WFS Interface
Description
The Map Service (WFS Group) presents selected spatial data from the field of nature conservation of the Saarland.:Naturdenkmale – area – protected area category according to the Saarland Nature Conservation Act. Natural monuments are protected individual objects of the landscape such as a remarkable tree or a rock. The value of protection stems from the rarity, the special character, the beauty or even the scientific value of a natural monument. Examples of important natural monuments of the Saarland are the castle mountain caves in Homburg or the Brennende Berg in Dudweiler.
