WMS Service (Web Map Service) Network of Marine Protected Areas of Spain (RAMPE)
Description
The Web Map Service called Network of Marine Protected Areas of Spain (RAMPE) allows the visualization and consultation of the information of Marine Protected Areas whose figure was created in Law 42/2007, of December 13, on Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, as one of the categories of protected natural areas. MPAs are defined as natural areas designated for the protection of ecosystems, communities or biological or geological elements of the marine environment that, due to their rarity, fragility, importance or uniqueness, deserve special protection. Currently there is only one area declared, El Cachucho, by Royal Decree 1629/2011, of 14 November, BOE 8 December 2011.
