Description

Systematized population monitoring records of the Iberian imperial eagle 'Aquila adalberti' in Andalusia, collected in the period 2001-2020. The data is collected in table format and, among others, contains the following information: year and coverage of the census, name of the territory, area covered by the Plan (if any), coordinates of the territory, number of nests attached to the territory, causes of reproductive failure (if any), age of the couple, number of chickens born, number of chickens flown, description of possible threats and degree of threat to the territory, use of majority land in the territory, description of the action (if any), etc. The species is included in the "Plan for the Recovery of the Iberian Imperial Eagle", approved on 11 January 2011 by the Governing Council (Agreement of 18 January 2011 of the Governing Council approving the Recovery and Conservation Plans for certain wild species and protected habitats), with the aim of achieving a population size and conservation status that allows the species "in danger of extinction" to be classified as "vulnerable" in the Andalusian Catalogue of Threatened Species. The Iberian Imperial Eagle Recovery Plan is implemented through its Action Program. This Programme, approved by the Order of 20 May 2015, specifies in time and in the territory the actions necessary to develop the measures provided for in the Plan. The data collected are framed in the aforementioned Program. The information is reviewed annually and from it the regional interpretative reports published on the website of the Junta de Andalucía are generated following the Protocol for the transfer and dissemination of information derived from the Plans and Programs for the Conservation of Wild Flora and Fauna and the equipment entrusted to the Andalusian Environment and Water Agency (AMAYA) on 29/10/2014. Sensitive information in accordance with Article 13(2)(h) of Law 27/2006 of 18 July 2006 regulating the rights of access to information, public participation and access to justice in environmental matters.
