Fairway area (waterway data)

Description

The fairway area is an area bounded by the boundary lines of the fairway and intended for use by water traffic. The fairway area also includes special areas of water traffic planned in connection with the fairway, such as waiting, meeting and turning areas and anchoring areas. The dataset contains the fairway areas entered in the waterway register of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. In the fairway area, the passage depth of the fairway and the ensured dredging depth are reported. The fairway area can be classified according to quality class, type, status and signage system.
