Base information for the sea surface temperature forecast viewer on the beaches of Andalusia
Description
Information generated as a base map to show the forecasts of metorological and ocenographic variables in the coast of Andalusia. An image (acquired by remote sensor AVHRR from NOAA satellites) with temperature data (°C) of the surface layer of the sea is included. The Surface Temperature of the Sea is one of the most important geophysical parameters within the oceanographic applications of Remote Sensing, allowing the detection of several oceanographic phenomena typical of marine dynamics, such as currents, swirls and thermal fronts. Therefore, from this image, regions of warmer and cooler waters have been identified depending on the temperature, in addition to some elements of marine dynamics. The delimitation of these elements and regions are also incorporated. In addition, coastal municipalities are included in shapefile format. Also, the location points (shapfile format) and the sheets (pdf format) of characterization of the beaches, information from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
