Description
The information contained in this data set is a raster of the bathymetry of the area, with a resolution of 10 m, with depths between 157 and 1510 m.
The area comprising the data provided corresponds to the top of the Banco de la Concepción, located in the northwest of Lanzarote, belonging to the archipelago of the Canary Islands and included in SCI ESZZ15001 Banco de la Concepción.
The raw data that constitute this raster were acquired during the campaigns carried out in the INDEMARES project: INCOGEO_0310, INCOECO_0710, INCOECO_0611 and INCOECO_1012. During the INTEMARES project, the bathymetric and reflectivity data available have been reprocessed in order to expand the geomorphological study of the area.
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
The reprocessing works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
