Description
The topic group includes the surface catchment areas for the surface waters in Dresden. At the outskirts of the city, it was possible to fit the entire Saxon data set.
The catchment areas were calculated using GIS tools (SAGA GIS 2.2.0, Quantum GIS 2.8.1, Geospatial Modelling Environment GME 0.7.3) based inter alia on the following data:
- Digital terrain models (DGM ) of the GeoSN with the grid widths 0.5 m and 2 m (flight 2009)
- Water network of the city of Dresden (with Elbe as polyline, as of 20.03.2015)
- LfULG River Basin Data Set (Saxony-wide)
- LfULG river dataset (ATKIS-based, Saxony-wide)
The determination of the catchment areas is described in detail in the report "Results report on the geometric and technical clarification of the above-ground Dresden catchment areas", Jörn Levenhagen, 08.11.2015 (filed under H:\surface water\catchment areas\processing 2015 and in 86.32-9130/3/8310#2).
The topic "Upper-Earth Watersheds", which includes at least one catchment area for each river, forms the basis for the other topics "Upper-Earth ECG EU Water Bodies", "Upper-Earth ECG HWRB", "Upper-Earth ECG PEGEL", in which the respective watersheds belonging to the EU water body or the plant are summarized.
