Miles leaves Saxony – Berlin copy

Description

The mileage leaves of Saxony include 180 map sheets. The Berlin copy, also known as the King’s copy, was created by Sächs. Ing.-Korps 1780 – 1806 recorded under Ltg. by Friedrich Ludwig Aster. The originals are currently in the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin – Prussian Cultural Heritage. The maps contain borders, roads, paths, towns, waters, forests, meadows, wine and hills. Further information is also available at the SLUB offer “Deutsche fotothek” at http://www.deutschefotothek.de/info/meilen.html. The leaf alignment is not to the north but to the northwest.
