Landscape conservation areas (district of Göttingen)
Description
Legal basis: Landscape Protection Area Section 26 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act and Section 19 of the Lower Saxony Implementation Act to the Federal Nature Conservation Act.
Protection intensity: less high.
Protected landscape areas are legally binding areas in which special protection of nature and landscape is required
1. to maintain, develop or restore the performance and functionality of the natural balance or the regenerative and sustainable usability of the natural goods, including the protection of habitats and habitats of certain species of wild fauna and flora,
2. because of the diversity, peculiarity and beauty or special cultural-historical significance of the landscape, or
3. because of its special importance for recovery.
Ordained Landscape Protected Areas (LSG) in the district of Göttingen are:
LSG "Beech forests and calcareous grasslands between Dransfeld and Hedemünden" as implementation of the eponymous Habitats Area No. 170;
LSG "Fulda and Fuldaufer;"
LSG "Fulda between Wahnhausen and Bonaforth" as implementation of the eponymous Habitats Area No. 372;
LSG "Göttinger Wald" as implementation of the eponymous Habitats Area No. 138 and implementation of a part of the bird protection area V19;
LSG "resin";
LSG "Iberg bei Bad Grund" as implementation of the FFH area 145 "Iberg";
LSG "Kaufunger Wald" buffer zone for the implementation of part of the Habitats Area No 143; "Bachtäler im Kaufunger Wald" as a buffer zone;
LSG "Leine between Friedland and Niedernjesa and Dramme" as implementation of the FFH areas of the same name Nos. 407 and 454;
LSG "Leinebergland" with implementation of part of the bird protection area V19;
LSG "Mausohr-Jagdgebiet Leinholz" as implementation of the FFH area of the same name No. 447;
LSG "Pipinsburg";
LSG "Reinhäuser Wald" as implementation of the eponymous Habitats Area No. 110 and implementation of a part of the bird protection area V19;
LSG "Rhumequelle";
LSG "Schwulme und Auschnippe" as implementation of the eponymous Habitats Area No. 402;
LSG "Untereichsfeld" with implementation of part of the bird protection area V19;
LSG "Weiher am Kleinen Steinberg" as implementation of the eponymous Habitats Area No. 408;
LSG "Weper, Gladeberg and Aschenburg" as implementation of Habitats Area No 132;
LSG "Weserbergland-Kaufunger Wald";
LSG "Wolfsbachtal near Zorge" as the implementation of the eponymous FFH area No. 150.
Some habitat types (LRT), conservation status (EHZ) and reproductive and resting sites (F+R) have been defined for the LSGs, which are part of the respective protection purpose.
