Biotopes, protected biotopes (§ 30 BNatSchG and § 18 BbgNatSchAG) and Habitat types in Brandenburg

Description

A biotope in the sense of this biotope mapping is an area that can be clearly defined in the terrain with relatively uniform vegetation and/or use structure. An area or even a landscape component can be evaluated by biotope mapping in its importance for the natural balance. If a complete selected area is covered, it is a comprehensive biotope mapping (FFH areas, large protected areas). In the case of selective biotope mapping, only certain landscape components that are particularly relevant for nature conservation are included (protected biotopes and Habitats Directive habitat types according to § 30 BNatSchG and § 18 BbgNatSchAG). A defined catalogue of biotope types is the basis for the assignment of the individual biotope types. Furthermore, mapping instructions and biotope pyene descriptions support mapping (see Landesumweltamt Brandenburg 2004 and 2007: Biotope mapping Brandenburg- Volume 1 and Volume 2). The present database is composed as follows: - Biotope and Habitats LRT mapping in Habitats areas (2001-2011); Where applicable, updates in the context of the Habitats Management Planning (2001-2020) - second round of selective biotope mapping outside of large-scale protected areas and FFH areas (protected biotopes and FFH habitat types according to § 30 BNatSchG and § 18 BbgNatSchAG) - not yet available for all districts (as of 2007, completion expected in 2016) - Biotope mapping in large protected areas as part of maintenance and development planning (1993-ongoing) Attention! This database contains spatial data (shape files) with selected factual data from the biotope and FFH-LRT mapping. For older data collected using a different method, individual entries may differ from the current reference lists. As a rule, biotope and habitat type mapping data are collected in accordance with the Brandenburg biotope mapping method in the BBK database (Access application), which contains much more detailed information, especially when the highest mapping intensity C is applied. Responsible for the publication of BBK data for further use (database / recording sheets with vegetation lists, among others, fully recorded in the BBK program): Fr. Summer houses (LfU, Unit N3) !!!
