Description
This file shows the internationally important wetlands that were designated and recognized by the Royal Decree of 27/09/1984 as Ramsar area in accordance with the Ramsar Convention drawn up in 1971 in Ramsar (Iran) and entered into force in 1975 and were amended by the Flemish Executive on 27/05/1987. The selection and designation of a Ramsar area is based on the presence of waterfowl, biodiversity and fish populations.
