Health Monitor Adults and Elderly, GGDs, CBS and RIVM

Description

The Adults and Elderly Health Monitor is a large-scale questionnaire survey that provides insight into the health and lifestyle of Dutch people aged 18 years and older. The study usually takes place every four years and is carried out by the GGDs, GGD GHOR Nederland, RIVM and CBS. All GGDs in the Netherlands conduct the research in a uniform manner in the same year and use the same (basic) questionnaire. This makes it possible to compare the results at national, regional and local levels. In addition, the Health Monitor Adults and Elderly is carried out in a harmonised manner with the CBS Health Survey. The figures from the Adults and Elderly Health Monitor provide input for national, regional and local health policies. Health Monitor Adults and Elderly 2020 (N=539.902): The most recent Health Monitor Adults and Elders decreased in 2020 (18 years and older). This monitor provided data on 539.902 respondents, of which 532.854 (98.7 %) came from the GGD surveys and 7,048 (1.3 %) respondents to the CBS Health Survey. Health Monitor Adults and Elders 2016 (N=457.153): In 2016, the Health Monitor Adults and Elders decreased for the second time. The total number of respondents in 2016 is 457,153 (19 years and older), of which 450.146 (98.5 %) came from the GGDs and 7,007 (1.5 %) from the CBS Health Survey. Health Monitor Adults and Elderly 2012 (N=387.195): In 2012, the Health Monitor Adults and Elders decreased for the first time. After cleaning up the data, the monitor provided data on 387,195 respondents (19 years and older) in 2012, of which 376,384 (97.2 %) were surveyed by the GGDs and 10,811 (2.8 %) by CBS.
